This course provides an overview of how lease applications are processed. It explores common issues associated with processing rental applications and provides practical answers for licensees.  It will benefit the real estate salesperson and broker professionally because it explains some of the thorniest parts of the real estate rental transaction, namely the processing of applications. It informs the real estate salesperson and broker of issues that must be addressed with both the landlord and the tenant and helps both salespersons and brokers understand how to navigate the various statutory requirements.

This course increases protection of the general public because too often, parties are unaware or misinformed about issues which occur during the processing of rental applications. Additionally, the public is protected as the essential requirements of fair housing and escrow management in the rental application process are addressed.
