Taken from the Virginia Real Estate Board Rules and Regulations and the Code of Virginia this course is a review of the laws and regulations regarding escrow management and the proper procedures on handling escrow funds, the supervision of a firm and branch offices, and the regulations regarding advertising. In addition, there will be a discussion of office policies and procedures and the necessity for on-going licensee training and the broker’s responsibility. The class will discuss some of the recent DPOR cases and disciplinary actions against licensees who have violated the rules and regulations and license laws in Virginia. . At the conclusion of this course students should be able to demonstrate a better understanding of the laws and regulations and understand why these areas are important and necessary in order to reduce liability and better protect the public’s interests and trust in the firm assisting them with their real estate needs.. *Registration is required.
